This Coppertone Sport Pro Series with Duraflex SPF 50 sunscreen is my latest season’s try at protecting my skin. First, I’ll start with some stats and/or claims from the product itself:

  • Clear continuous spray sunscreen
  • UVA/UVB
  • Broad Spectrum SPF 50
  • Durable technology for extreme sweat conditions (won’t run into eyes)
  • Lightweight, won’t clog pores
  • Water resistant (80 minutes)
  • 6oz
  • Active ingredients: avobenzone 3%, homosalate 10%, octisalate 4.5%, octcrylene 7%, and oxybenzone 5%
  • Contains no CFCs

All in all, I like this sunscreen quite a bit so far and its claims seem to hold up. It sprays on nice and easy and doesn’t feel like I’m wearing it. The cap turns and locks. It doesn’t have an overpowering smell, and best of all, I don’t seem to notice it when I’m out on a hot, sunny run. I definitely still am able to sweat. I’ve worn in on runs up to about 30-40 minutes with good results, and I will report back once I go on some slightly longer ones.

  1. Update: I have noticed that this product seems to gunk up where the spray comes out after I use it, so the next time it takes a few seconds of sporadic spraying for it to clear out and spray right, but I have not yet experience that for this one after quite a few uses. I hadn’t noticed this in previous Coppertone spray products that I’ve used, so I can’t verify if this will always happen or not, but it’s kind of messy every time I used it for a couple seconds until the nozzle becomes clear (un-gunked) again.
