GU Energy Gel is made for pre- and during workout sustenance and overall I like this product and use it fairly often during long races.
They are 1.1 ounces of thick-ish “gu” and all have about 100 calories, 0-2g of fat, 50ish g of sodium, 40mg potassium, 20ish g of sugar, 0 protein, and 100% vitamin C and E.
I use them primarily throughout longer races of about 10 miles or more (one every 4-5 miles with water).
They come in various flavors and some have caffeine (they are labeled on the front whether they have caffeine or not).
