The Lansing Turkeyman Trot (formerly the Cold Turkey Trot until 2005-ish), is a fun race to do prior do your Thanksgiving Day indulging.  It usually has lots of participants, has a great atmosphere with lots of people usually dressing up in holiday-themed costumes, and even a decent crowd.

The course is pretty solid–a slight incline the first mile, flat in the middle, and a slight decline for the last mile.

  1. I think it is a very fun race, and it’s decently flat so it’s a nice, easy run too.
