It’s baaaaaaack! The highly-anticipated (by me at least!) Newton Fate 2 has arrived (Note, these may actually not be released yet at the time this review is published–but get pumped for them!). I swooned over both my pairs of original Fates, so I was really looking forward to this next release. This newest edition thus far does not disappoint!
Overall these are another light but supportive smooth ride. They again almost have the feel of a flat but just hefty (supportive) enough to be used as a trainer. Prior to this review I’ve put just over 60 miles on these shoes and have used them in just about all my normal settings: paved roads and sidewalks, grassy trail, gravel roads, and even a few hard miles on solid dirt trails–they were wonderful in all areas. They feel good to run both slow and fast in, which I love in a trainer these days.
The updates from the previous model are noted below, but all in all they are the same ol great shoe and definitely feel that way. I am also a fan of the awesome red color. I shall continue to put miles on these sweet shoes and add additional comments below once they’re even more worn in (or worn out!).
