The Opedix Core-Tec Shorts is my first experience with compression shorts and I’ve seemed to have started at the top. From the first time I put them on I could tell thatI had been missing out–it just felt like I was being hugged in all the right places. From my glutes to my quads to my hamstrings, I just felt so supported compared to traditional running shorts.

I’ve already worn these for short and easy runs, but where they really felt great were speed workouts. I’ve worn them for tempo on firm dirt/gravel pathway, track intervals, and for long runs–for all of these situations, I’ve been grateful for wearing the Core-Tec Shorts. Especially in the latter parts of the workouts, it was nice to feel the extra support from the compression when I know I was getting tired and shaky but wanted to push through and finish the workout.

Although definitely on the pricier side for a pair of shorts, I would definitely recommend them to those looking for supreme support.

  1. I’m still feeling great in these shorts! Although I often opt out of using them for longer runs only for the reason they don’t have any pockets at all, I’ve been loving them for my track workouts.

As I should have mentioned previously, these shorts aren’t just your run-of-the-mill compression. What they call their “Torque Reform Technology” (what looks like straps/stripes) “puts the pelvis in a neutral position and improves core stability”.

As far as I can tell, it’s definitely working, as I feel in line and held together well, even when I’m starting to get especially fatigued!
