Disclaimer: Generally when I review a pair of shoes, I try to wear them for at least a week in some type of varying conditions before I post the review. However, I got the chance to demo these shoes (run in them one-time at a local running store), so this review is a first impression only!
I got to try these out at quite an interesting situation. A local running store put on a race toted as a Treadmill Challenge. (The gist, as it doesn’t really have to do with these shoes, is that you hop on a treadmill, they set it to 10% incline, and your goal is to run as far as you can go in 5 minutes. You can’t touch anything, including the rails, except the speed of the treadmill. It was my first time and kinda wild and VERY hard. I went .64 miles.) The race was free but you had to run in a pair of Saucony shoes, which was the event’s sponsor, which they had various models to choose from.
I hadn’t had any experience in any Saucony shoes, but since this was a race I chose the ones that seemed most like flats. These shoes were light, comfortable, and did the trick. So since I ran in them for less than a mile, I’m not sure how much my opinion of them is worth, so I’ll keep it short. I seemed to like them. They seemed very comparable to my all-time fav racers, the Asics Hyperspeed, which is definitely a positive. If they ever stop making the Hyperspeed, I would consider these as a replacement.
