The Shower Pill is an athletic body wipe made for post-athletic activity to freshen up, perhaps when you don’t have normal facilities. It consists of an antimicrobial damp cloth about the consistency of one of those disposable cloths used for dusting.
It’s claims as a fresh and clean hygiene supplement seem pretty legit. It’s active ingredient is benzalkonium chloride 0.13%.
Other claims from the packaging: Cleans entire body, dries quickly, no sticky residue, no parabens, and alcohol free.
All their claims seem to be true and the towelette worked pretty well. It smelled clean (Can something smell clean if it’s fragrant free?) and worked well to wipe down a large portion of my body after a run (I was out for a group run then grabbing dinner immediately afterward).
Honestly, this product really seems like a glorified (ahem..more expensive) baby wipe, but with some definite perks. Baby wipes do sometimes leave a sticky-ish feeling after using them and the Shower Pill did not. It is also nice having something individually packable for times when you need them (leave a couple in your car, backpack, gym bag, etc).
Overall, I probably won’t stop using baby wipes in general, but I will definitely keep some of these around for specific times of need. They are definitely decent idea and the product itself works really well.
