These seem to be your standard sock. They are a medium thickness. They would be good in cooler conditions, but I have also ran in them inside on the treadmill and did not have problems with my feet overheating. They are comfortable and wick away moisture well. My only complaint is that they don’t have a heel/achilles padded bumper. They seem to stay put pretty well. But I just like the padded bumper to make me feel better about them not riding down and me chafing on the back of my shoe for long runs. They do prove to be the good quality that I expect from Smartwool and they are comfortable.
