These Vega One All-in-One Nutritional Shakes are little packets of so much goodness. They’re both vegan and gluten free. Dairy and have a love-hate relationship (love on the taste buds, hate in the gut!). At only 160 calories, one packet contains 20g of protein, 6 servings of greens, probiotics, fiber, omega-3’s, and quite a few vitamins and minerals (click the pic below to see a bigger version of the packs). Even better, no sugar added (<1g of total sugar in the packet).

I’ve started using vegan protein powder lately to both get more protein and more greens, as my Crohn’s has proved difficult to eat as many whole veggies as I would like (both raw and cooked). I usually put some in with a few other things, including 50/50 coconut/almond milk and fruits and veggies. Yum!

The flavors are pretty good, especially blended with other fruits and milk. The price is a little high, but cheaper overall if I were to buy a tub, which I may eventually. It’s hard to beat 6 servings of greens per scoop!

  1. This is an expensive protein, but it has helped me to get more protein and more greens in a day. I use a serving of the vega protein berry flavor and a serving of the AboutTime Whey Protein with a cup and a half of almond coconut milk most days for breakfast and find that it keeps me very full without feeling bloated. The vega protein does have a greenish color to it, that may look gross at first, but it seems to mix in pretty well if you have a shaker cup. And I find the taste to be pretty close to the described flavor. It has helped me to cut down carbs some and stay full until lunch.
