These Sigvaris 412V Performance Sleeves are my first real experience personally with any sort of compression. I love ’em already.
These ones are made to be used during activity, so I went for broke and used them on a 24 mile training run. Always during the later stages of my longer runs, I can tell when my muscles are starting to feel achy and fatigued. My calves and achilles ares aren’t immune to this at all, but during this past run they still felt great after wearing the sleeves. Where my quads, hams, and buns were definitely feeling run-down, my calves and achilles were still feeling snappy.
This also goes for the next day, as this was my longest run in awhile–most of me was sore, but calves and achilles were no worse for the wear.
I’ve wore these on some trail races, track workouts, and other long runs, and I have ALWAYS been pleased with how well my lower legs felt after wearing the calf sleeves.
Sizing is based on ankle and calf circumference and they are made of 75% nylon and 25% spandex.
Amazing. That’s pretty much the main word I use to describe these. I always had a hard time believing people when they said that compression sleeves and shorts help a lot during long workouts. However, I decided that they were worth a try, because especially during long runs my muscles would get very fatigued and sometimes I would be sore for days and it would effect my workouts for a week or so. The first run I wore these on was my first 20 mile run, ever. And I was amazed. My calves did not hurt once during my run. And after my run they were slightly tender when I massaged them, but overall my calves were not sore at all. I was impressed. I have been wearing them for many of my runs, especially my runs 5 miles and over. I am hooked, they help a lot and I love the bright pink color! The price does seem a bit pricey, but for how much these have helped me, I find the price overall pretty fair.
