This new flavor of Honey Stinger Organic Gel, Chocolate, is simply delicious. Overall the flavor is great. It goes down smoothly, but I still prefer at little swish or gulp of water after to help rinse it down. I like that it’s still sweetened with honey, but I couldn’t really taste the distinct honey-ness. The packet tears open easily.
The product is slightly caffeinated–the 32mg of caffeine is comparable to a cup of green tea (compared to the 95-200mg found in the average 8oz cup of coffee). I don’t always want caffeine in my gus and gels, but the lower dose in this one didn’t seem to seem jolting at all. That being said, I would also be fine with a chocolate version without any added caffeine (other than that from the chocolate, which I’m pretty sure is unavoidable with that particular flavor).
I’ll be consuming more of these tastey packets for sure.
