The Stunt Puppy Go Dog Glo High Visability Vest is an awesome reflective “vest” (more of a cape/drape with straps). It has a collar strap and a body/belly strap which connects to a pretty cool 3-way buckle to hold all the straps together.
I was worried about the straps chaffing our dog if running with it on for awhile, but so far I’ve noticed no issues–the straps are pretty silky-soft which I think helps.
Visibility-wise it seems pretty solid–it’s both bright and has a nice reflective strip on it. I also clip on the Guardian Hunting Series Dog Light that I also got from Stunt Puppy for bonus visibility.
The vest also has a couple pockets/pouches in it which we have yet to find real use for yet.
I’ve used this piece both for running and walking on and off-leash and I think it’s really great–I’ll surely keep using it regularly.
It is just your basic reflective vest. It is nice though for those dusky runs. It is very reflective, and I usually add the light on the vest to help with extra visibility, especially when it is completely dark. The vest does not seem to restrict my dog at all. She has no problems running in it, and normally does not even act like she knows she has it on. It is a little expensive, but to me it is a necessity to have some way to make her very visible if I am going to be running with her and the vest and light combo make me feel at ease when running with her in the dark.
This vest is holding up well, and we also use it not just for during runs, but when we’ve got the pooch out in the yard during lower-visibility times of day just to see her better.
