What a fun book! A pretty much comic-style book with a few longer passages, it’s broken up to many different sections containing both advice and personal stories from the author (from The Oatmeal). Although some of the truths are painfully accurate, hitting on many of the darker topics regarding distance running, it ultimately helps show the beautiful reasons to run. It’s a super easy read and I could have easily plowed through it in a single sitting, but instead I chose to cherish the unique sections and read it over quite a few days, once small section at a time. I will surely go though it again–it would make both a great coffee table book as a conversation piece and of course a great gift for any runner.
