So I got this armband because it was super cheap ($8!)–mainly because I had never used one before and didn’t even know if I’d like it. The website I ordered it from said that it was made for an iPhone 6, so I was a little worried when it came and it said nothing about an iPhone at all on the packaging. Luckily, it fit quite well! It actually fits with my super thin acrylic case and I like to wrap my phone in a sandwich-sized plastic bag most of the time too (to protect from sweat moisture and just possible weather-moisture) and it still fits with all of that jazz (the sandwich bag sticks out a bit on the top but it doesn’t bother me at all).
The armband itself it quite light and also comfortable on my arm. Even though I crank the velcro down tight to make sure it sticks, once I get running I don’t notice it on my arm at all. However, I have had a few instances where the velcro snaps off and I had to catch it before it unlooped all the way and had to reattach it while running. This usually only happened when I was extending my arm in some way out of the usual running motion (aka reaching to grab something or just stretching mid-run).
So far I have probably ran with this armband 15-20 times and it’s holding up nicely. I’ve went all the way up to a 14 mile run and it’s stayed attached the whole time and kept my phone safe. Also, I haven’t washed it yet and it doesn’t even smell bad at all.
I certainly don’t do all of my runs with my phone (or most of them actually), but it’s nice to have this for when I do.
