Nuun Active Hydration is a pack of dissolve-able electrolyte tablets. Each tube of Nuun contains 12 tablets. Each tablet makes 16 oz. of Nuun, and delivers 360 mg Sodium / 100 mg Potassium / 25 mg Magnesium / 13 mg Calcium

Trying the watermelon flavor dissolved easily, didn’t leave any particles in the water, didn’t froth up while churning in my handheld water bottle, and did a good job quenching my thirst.

Overall I thought this was a great water additive that helped me stay hydrated without putting a lot of sugar or other ingredients into it.

It also has: Less than 1g of carbs, fewer than 8 calories. No sugar. No high-fructose corn syrup. No artificial flavors or colors.

  1. I like this product. I use it for all of my long runs and then for some of my moderate runs. I like that it dissolves fully and that it does not make the water too frothy even when the water is mixed up a lot during running. I’m not too crazy about the flavors. They are subtle, which is good and it doesn’t taste bad. But I notice a bit of an aftertaste, especially when it gets warm. However, I would recommend this as an electrolyte additive and I think it works well for what it is intended for. The price seems a little expensive, but it works well and it comes out to about 50 cents a tablet, which overall seems fair for an quality additive to help with hydration during a run. It’s definitely cheaper than other drink alternatives.

  2. I have been continuing to use this product and I do like it. I use it on almost every bike ride I do. However, I don’t use it as much for runs because I still find that it has a bit of an aftertaste once it is shook up for awhile. But on bike rides I do not have that problem, and it seems to be the only way I can stay hydrated when I work out for as long as I do on bike rides. My favorite flavors are the watermelon, lemonade and grape. I find that the lemonade one quenches my thirst the most if I’m out riding and crave water.
