This is my first try at merino underwear, and these Smartwool Next to Skin merino NTS Microweight (150 weight) Briefs are really great.
I’ve thus far only wore these in colder (10º-40ºF range) and they were warm but not too hot, very comfortable (no chaffing and the wide waistband is great), seemingly decent wind-shielding in the front, and didn’t get funky very quickly–I wore them for several days straight and they remained pretty fresh.
I like these a lot and can’t wait to give them a go in some warmer temps too just to see how they feel. I will definitely be picking up at least another pair when I can.
I continue to really enjoy these underwear for colder runs. Although they work just fine in the summer too, the merino undies seem to insulate just a little better when I want them to during the colder season. Plus they are very comfy. Definite keepers!
